Harvest management, Oil palm harvestingAbstract
As the last stage of the oil palm cultivation process, harvesting is an important matter considering that the harvesting of oil palm is not solely about taking FFB, but more than that harvesting oil palm is the process of taking CPO. Harvest management aims to ensure the harvest process meets the quality and quantity standards set by each company. This research was conducted with the aim of assessing the harvest management that has been carried out by Division I of BT PT. TS includes Harvest Organizing, Harvesting Systems, Harvesting Kapveld, Intervals and Rotations, Calculation of Harvest Density Figures, and Harvest Labor. The results showed that the harvest management applied by Division I of BT PT. TS is good enough, but the harvest interval is still high. The high harvest interval is caused by the non-distribution of the average harvested area for each harvesting field and the presence of less productive harvesting employees.
