Ekstrak Gulma Kirinyuh (Chromolaena odorata) sebagai Bioherbisida Pra Tumbuh untuk Pengendalian Gulma di Perkebunan Kelapa Sawit

Kirinyuh (Chromolaena odorata L.) is a dominant weed in oil palm plantations. This weeds contains of chemical compounds that could be used as active ingredients of herbicides, such as fenol, alkaloid and tanin. Generally, controlling weed activity by manually leaving waste in large quantities which could be recovered with the process into the extraction with maceration process and is used as bioherbicide. Bioclogical controlling weed could be alternative methode to reduce the negative environmental impact caused by chemical weed control (herbicide uses) excessive. This study aim to get an alternative organic materials as pre-emergence bioherbicide, knowing the effect of pre-emergence bioherbicide kirinyuh, get a best concentration of pre-emergence bioherbicide and knowing the content of the compound kirinyuh. This research is compiled in a completely randomized design (CRD), which consists of 5 treatments, namely A0 (control), A1 (glyphosate 1%), A2 (bioherbicide extract 1%), A3 (bioherbicide extract 2%) and A4 (vegetable herbicide 3%). Each treatment was repeated 2 times so that there are 10 experimental units. Data were analyzed using analysis of variance and a further test DMRT (Duncan Multiple Range Test). The results from this study showed that the weed kirinyuh could be used as an alternative material bioherbicide pre-emergence weed control in palm oil plantation. The provision of pre-grown bioherbisida kirinyuh extract significantly affect the growth of weeds and biomass power. The extract contained in the best kirinyuh extract treatment 3% and significantly different with glyphosate herbicide treatments and control.
