Prospek Industri Kelapa Sawit Indonesia di Masa Mendatang

Abstract

The Indonesian palm oil industry stands at a crossroads between its strategic economic role and pressing sustainability concern. The objective of this study is to holistically analyze the industry's prospects using a sustainable development framework. Using a qualitative approach, the study evaluates economic, environmental, and social pillars to project future scenarios. The result demonstrate a duality between economic success through downstreaming and biodiesel programs and environmental (deforestation, emissions) and social (agrarian conflict) challenges. Failure to respond to global demand such as the EUDR risks market stagnation. The "Sustainable Transformation" scenario is identified as the most promising trajectory.
