Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of green logistics strategy through the milk-run method in the manufacturing industry in order to reduce fuel consumption and CO2 gas. The milk-run method is applied to optimize the efficiency of logistics distribution by reducing the number of trips and vehicle distance traveled. The research method used is a quantitative approach to measure the distance traveled, measure fuel consumption and reduce CO2 emissions, combined with a qualitative approach to explain the research results. The results show that the application of the milk-run method can reduce the distance traveled by 41%, reduce fuel consumption by 29% and directly reduce CO2 emissions by 29%. This efficiency is achieved through better route planning and effective shipment grouping. In addition to providing environmental benefits, the milk-run method also has the potential to increase the company's operational efficiency. Based on these results, the milk-run method can be recommended as part of a green logistics strategy that supports sustainability in the manufacturing sector.
