Increasing the area of ??oil palm monoculture plantations can have an adverse effect on this ecosystem. One of them is the many pathogen attacks on oil palm plantations which can cause a decrease in the productivity of these plantations. The main pathogen that attacks oil palm in Indonesia and Malaysia is the fungus Ganoderma sp. which causes stem rot disease (BPB). Trichoderma is one of the antagonistic agents that can be found in the rhizosphere of oil palm plants, and belongs to chitinolytic fungi as a producer of chitinase enzymes which are responsible for destroying the cell walls of the pathogenic Ganoderma sp. This study aims to determine the potency of the antagonistic fungus Trichoderma sp. against the fungus Ganoderma sp. cause of stem rot disease in oil palm plantations. The results showed that from the third day to the 7th day there was inhibition of the growth of Ganoderma sp. significant for all treatments.
