Abstract

This research was conducted at the Politeknik Kelapa Sawit Citra Widya Edukasi campus, Cibuntu Village, Cibitung District, Bekasi Regency, Jawa Barat Province. The aim of this research was to determine the effect of providing soil and goat dung as a planting medium on the growth of oil palm seedlings in pre-nursery. The research method was arranged in a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) which consisted of five treatment levels, namely treatment P0 (100% top soil: 0% goat dung), P1 (75% top soil: 25% goat dung), P2 (25% top soil : goat manure 75%), P3 (sub soil 50% : goat manure 50%) and P4 (sub soil 75% : goat manure 25%). Each treatment consisted of four replications. The parameters observed were plant height (cm), stem diameter (cm), and number of leaves (strands). The data obtained were analyzed statistically using analysis of variance using the SPSS version 22 program. Then the results of the analysis of variance were continued with the Duncan's multiple range test (DMRT) at a level of 5% the results of the research showed that for each parameter observed there was a difference in growth, for the best plant height growth in the 12th week of WAP, there was P2 treatment with an average of 18.6 cm. The best stem diameter growth rate at week 12 WAP was found in the P2 treatment with an average of 0.95 cm. The best growth rate in the number of leaves at week 12 WAP was found in two treatments, namely P1 and P2 with the same average reaching 3.95 pieces.
