The use of solid waste of empty oil palm bunches (TKKS) at PT Sawit Sumbermas Sarana Tbk. is currently only used as organic fertilizer as well as mulch by stacking one level in the area around the oil palm harvest road, the lignocellulose content contained in TKKS is difficult to decompose and makes the decomposition process naturally take a long time. TKKS mulch piles on plants produce causing an abundance of horn beetle (O. rhinoceros L.) populations. The purpose of this study was to isolate and identify cellulolytic bacteria present in the digestive system of O. rhinoceros L larvae. The results of this study were obtained the number of colonies growing on CMC media as many as 70 colonies in the 1st test and 76 colonies in the 2nd test. The measurement of the cellulolytic index (IS) value obtained results of U1 0.17 cm / cfu, and the cellulolytic index value (IS) U2 0.17 cm / cfu. The results of microscopic observation of gram bacteria.
